Material and Manufacture Information GNS Carbon Fibre World was established with the single vision of producing high quality and performance carbon fibre components by using the latest technology for consistent and high performance parts every time. Using a range of fabricating techniques GNS Carbon Fibre World can make different grades of products to cater to most groups of customers. Our three grades being carbon fibre and fiberglass, full carbon fibre or pre preg carbon are all characterized by the following properties: * Lightweight
* High strength to weight ratio
* Very high modulus elasticity to weight ratio
* High fatigue strength
* Good corrosion resistance
* Very low coefficient of thermal expansion
* Low impact resistance
* High electric conductivity
* Recyclable and 100% reusable
These properties make carbon fibre an ideal material for components where lightness and strength are required in motorsports and other competition sports, general automotive, marine, aviation and civil engineering.
Following is a brief description on each grade. Grade 1 Carbon Fibre & Fibreglass Mix Set with 3 layers of 3K carbon fibre on the outside and fiberglass on the inside and finished with a high quality clear UV high gloss coat. Our least expensive process, it can be used for show/street cars and motorcycles that gives the customer the look and feel of a high quality carbon fibre part. Grade 2 Full Carbon Fibre Complete 3K carbon fibre part inside and out and finished with our clear UV high gloss finish. Double the cost of Grade 1 and catering for the automotive and motorsport enthusiast that requires the higher tensile strength and the lightness. Grade 3 Pre Preg (“Dry Carbon”) This is the ultimate in carbon fibre and at a premium price. Best used for parts that require minimal weight and the highest tensile strength. Mainly used in aviation, motorsports and similar competitions and marine. Our pre peg carbon is also used
for the chassis of engine and high-temperature areas. Our pre preg carbon fibre can stand the high temperature of engine and exhaust systems.
